La Maison Tellier

La Maison Tellier ain't a novel by de Maupassant, it's the name of a country folk band from France which started out in 2004. This family collectiv made three albums so fra. La Maison Tellier in 2006, Second Souffle in 2007 and this year they brought out L'Art de la Fugue, with which La Maison Tellier tkae on a slightly different sound, which is well received by the french media..

La Maison Tellier was brought together in 2004 by the brothers Raoul and Helmut Tellier, both brought up with counrty, folk and blues, they were looking for a way to marry the sounds they liked so much with theu=ir native tongue, French. Although they still write in English as well in French, La Maison Tellier can today be considered as a French American/Folk band.

The first album didn't come out until they were joined by trumpet player Léopold, bass player Alphonse and drummer Alexandre. After a first EP the first Album "La Maison Tellier3 saw the light.

In Octobre 2007 La Maison tellier brought out their second album under the logic name "Second Souffle". this album took the band to another level and they were asked to open for french variety singer Alain Bashung at the 'Olympia in Paris.

With their third album "Art de la Fugue" La maison Tellier is trying to esthablish a name for themselves. Compared to former rock band Noir Desir, their album is much spoken, and La Maison tellier our out on the road to spread the word of their music.
